Purpose of the platform
ElectroBook is a software platform intended to help electrical retailers organise product information, create digital catalogues, manage customer enquiries, prepare quotations, track orders and maintain warranty information.
Commercial responsibility
Retailers are responsible for the prices, taxes, discounts, availability, warranty promises, delivery commitments and other commercial statements they publish or communicate through the platform. ElectroBook provides tools for recording and presenting those details; it does not independently validate them.
Customer data responsibility
Retailers are responsible for the customer and business information they enter into their account and for complying with applicable privacy, consumer-protection, tax and record-keeping requirements.
Quotation responsibility
Digital quotations are generated from information supplied by the retailer. Before sending a quotation, the retailer should verify customer details, products, quantities, prices, taxes, validity, terms and any applicable warranty information.
Production deployment
A production deployment should use a secure database, HTTPS, protected SMTP credentials, reliable storage, backups, access controls, monitoring and an appropriate data-retention process. Development credentials and local development configuration must not be reused in production.
No professional advice
ElectroBook is software and does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, insurance or regulatory advice. Retailers should obtain professional advice where their business requires it.
Accuracy of published information
Product specifications, prices and other catalogue information can change. Retailers should keep published information current and should use their own commercial approval process for customer-facing documents.
